Tyler Street Stacks proudly joined the Northeast Minneapolis community once again for Art-A-Whirls 30th anniversary, celebrating local creativity in style. This year, the sun deck transformed into an open-air Break House featuring live DJ sets, high-energy vibes, and stunning skyline views.

Guests enjoyed live mural painting from a local artist, explored work from three of our talented resident creators, and toured fully furnished model apartments that showcased the buildings unique aesthetic and layout. Red Bull kept the energy flowing with free samples and an epic DJ truck, while Tender Lovin Chix filled the air with irresistible aromas from their food truck.

It was a vibrant day of music, art, and connection all set against the creative pulse of Northeast Minneapolis. Thanks to all who stopped by to celebrate art and community with us!

On Saturday, May 18th, 2024 Tyler Street Stacks was thrilled to be a part of the vibrant Art-A-Whirl event in Northeast Minneapolis' bustling art district. Our building welcomed residents and community members to explore the creative works of 14 talented artists, who set up galleries across 18 vacant apartments on the 6th floor.

This event was not just a showcase of incredible local art but also an opportunity to highlight the stunning views, unique spaces, and premium amenities that Tyler Street Stacks offers. With an impressive turnout of 442 attendees, there was a lively atmosphere and continuous interest throughout the day.

In addition to the artist galleries, the event featured a variety of engaging activities. Our open building amenities, including the sky deck, podcast studios, work-from-home spaces, and lounge pub, were available for exploration.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Heck Studios and Red Bull, we were able to enhance the experience with oversized screens projecting the artists' animations, a DJ stand for vibrant music, and free samples of Red Bull's new limited Summer Edition. The Nashville Coop food truck was stationed outside, accompanied by the Red Bull DJ Jeep, which provided additional refreshments and outdoor seating.

Art-A-Whirl, organized by the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association (NEMAA), is the largest open studio tour in the country, featuring over 800 artists at more than 60 locations. For more information about Art-A-Whirl and to learn about future events, please visit NEMAA's website.
